Activant ePartExpert and Mitchell Labor Guide Integration
Protractor Software includes and integrates seamlessly with Activant's ePartExpert Catalog. This catalog also includes the Mitchell Labor Guide.
Vehicle Data Entry
When you enter in a new vehicle in the software, it uses the year, make, model and engine list from the Activant catalog. This has several advantages.
- It forces each employee to enter in vehicle information in a uniform manner which allows for consistency in reporting
- It fully automates part lookup in the ePartExpert and labor in the Mitchell Labor Guide as you do not have to specify the vehicle
- Once you answer questions regarding vehicle options (air conditioning, power steering, etc.) you will not be prompted again for this data
- Activant includes a VIN decoder. When you enter the VIN and decode it, the year, make, model and engine is automatically populated
- Activant includes vehicle service intervals and this allows the information to be automatically displayed during write up
- ePartExpert is the base catalog for many online parts suppliers and this allows much more seamless integration to your suppliers' online stores.

- Interchange: allows you type in a part number and cross reference it to other brands
- All Lines: allows you to display other brands for the same application beyond what your regular supplier carries
- Fluid Types & Capacities: allows you to quickly identify what fluid types are required and the quantity the system requires
- Tire Fitment Guide: allows you to see the sizes applicable to the vehicle as well as lug nut torque, rim width and tire pressure
- Cover to Cover: provides additional information such as pictures, manufacturer contact information and warranty.
