Protractor & MAP Integration
Protractor announces Motorist Assurance Program
(MAP) integration !
As part of the Protractor Inspection process, there has always
been a software switch in Protractor to set your inspection
results to mirror the MAP terminology of OK, Suggested, or
Required and the corresponding reason code for the communication
to the customer. MAP offers the only standard of communication
in North America as to how to properly communicate inspection
results back to your customer.
Shops that Subscribe to the MAP Accreditation process can then
display posters and door stickers to customers that they adhere
to the MAP standard and it also allows them access to the
Uniform Inspection and Communication Standard (UICS). This is an
electronic database that has the technical reasons why a part or
service may be suggested for service or required for
replacement. The database contains well over 1500 pages of
technical information that will support your inspection
findings.
So as part of the MAP integration into Protractor Software, you
will be allowed a limited time trial of this information and
then have the opportunity to learn more about the Motorist
Assurance Program. A representative from MAP will call you prior
to the end of your trial to discuss the MAP program with you.
If you do not wish to be contacted by the Motorist Assurance
Program Representative, then please email us at
support@protractor.com and indicate that you decline the
contact from MAP.

permanent login and password.
